What is the purpose of Polarity? Masculine and feminine, black and white, wrong or right. In this dualistic existence, within the threshold of divinity and materiality there are immutable laws governing the operation of life as we perceive it. Our minds register the input of our outer world but it is our hearts that create our reality through the force of Polarity. What you are and what you feel generates a complimentary response within our projected reality in seeking interconnectedness and expression through creation. Through polarity we realize that what we initially perceive as opposites are in reality different expressions of the same thing.
To utilize the force of Polarity one must become that which they seek. It is through this awareness we are able to witness what arrives in our life as a physical manifestation of where we are at in our hearts, the subconscious is made conscious and our will is enticed to respond.
The Polarity stone was carved from one solid 8000lb columnar basalt stone that was formed through the cooling of volcanic lava millions of years ago along the Columbia River Basalt Group. Basalt is one of the few stones that exhibits electromagnetic properties capable of storing and emitting energy. This characteristic was coveted by ancient builders of sacred spaces throughout the cradles of civilizations on our planet and utilized in ways we are only beginning to remember.
I believe that it is the artist’s role to bring down forms from the immaterial “spiritual” into the material to serve as a catalyst for the evolution of the collective consciousness. I hope that this stone serves as a physical symbol for that dynamic law that binds our hearts to our realities.
